# Clip source: screenshots

Sometimes you see content that is awkward to copy as text, so you screenshot first. The app can treat **screenshots** as a clip source too.

## How it works

After you take a screenshot:

1. The system saves a new image
2. The app detects a new screenshot (or you share the capture into the app manually)
3. That image is stored as one clip in clip history

When paired with **OCR** (text recognition), you can also:

- Turn text in the image into a plain-text clip
- Search, copy, and reuse that content more easily

## Good fits

- Apps that do not allow copying text, only screenshots
- Chat or feed content that is tedious to copy line by line
- You want to “remember” a visual, but still be able to search the text or details inside it later
