Cross-device Paste
Cross-device Paste is the final user experience of Octoclip's multi-device workflow: copy on device A, paste on device B.
What it depends on
- Clip History: records copied content.
- Nearby Sync or Cloud Sync: delivers clips to the target device.
- Paste entry on target device: writes to system clipboard or inserts directly.
Standard workflow
1
Copy content on the source device
Copy text, image, or file content and confirm it is recorded in history.
2
Sync the clip to the target device
Use Nearby Sync on the same LAN, or Cloud Sync across networks.
3
Select the clip on the target device and paste
Use quick input or history list to write and paste the content.
Verify the result
- The target device receives the new clip.
- You can write to system clipboard and paste into input fields.
- Repeated tests remain stable without obvious delay or loss.
Typical scenarios
Troubleshooting order
