Quick Input Alias
Clip Aliases (Quick Input Aliases) bind short triggers to full text content so you can reuse repetitive text faster. Aliases work on all platforms.
An alias expands a short trigger into long text. It is not the same as a pinned clip (kept at the top for quick access) or a collection/favorite (long-term grouping). Use an alias when you want to type a shortcut; use pinning when you want an item always visible.
Alias Model
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Alias | Short trigger, such as addr or sig |
| Target content | Full text inserted after trigger resolution |
| Usage scope | Clipboard window, search bar, and related insertion flows |
Create and Use
Pick content that you paste frequently from your history.
In settings, go to Clip Reuse -> Aliases to add a new alias. Avoid collisions with common commands or existing aliases.
Type the alias and confirm insertion. Success: the full content appears as a match and inserts into the active input field.
Use consistent prefixes (such as addr- or sig-) so your aliases stay easy to identify and maintain.
